I’m Janeiro.

Most of my writing has lived behind the pen name J. R. Blackmon.

Some people know me as Neiro, Neiro Black, or Neiro Bleezy.

For a long time, I kept most of my thoughts to myself.

Not because I didn’t have them.

I wasn’t sure they needed to exist anywhere beyond my own thoughts.

Then I started thinking about the conversations that had stayed with me.

Over time, I realized something.

They were rarely the ones where someone had all the answers.

They happened because someone was willing to share their journey honestly.

So that’s what this space is for.

A place to share the stories, lessons, observations, and questions that have shaped me.

Maybe they’ll resonate with you.

Maybe they’ll challenge you.

Maybe they’ll simply remind you that you’re not figuring life out alone.

So, who am I?

The longer I live, the more I realize I’m many things.

Some for a season.

Others woven into who I am.

A month from now, I may discover something new about myself.

Or let go of something that no longer fits.

And I’m okay with that.
